Nobody is paid, everybody plays. These are the folks who reserve the courts, stock the balls, and make sure your first visit feels like your fiftieth.
Organizers
Peter Seitel
Organizer · “Mayor of Green Lake Pickleball”
Peter has assumed responsibility for organizing pickleball play at Green Lake East in a way that aligns with GLP's mission. He makes court reservations, keeps GLP in a supply of pickleballs, orders maintenance equipment, prepares content for this website, tracks donations and expenses, advocates with Seattle Parks and Recreation for court improvements, and does what he can to ensure Green Lake East is a safe and welcoming space for players of all abilities.
Nicole Bideganeta
“Chief of Staff” · Head Ambassador (“HB”)
Nicole helps keep things running smoothly at the courts — and, as a Board Member and Secretary for the Seattle Metro Pickleball Association, acts as a liaison between GLP and the association. She began haunting the Green Lake East courts in the spring of 2022 and was featured in a New York Times article about pickleball in Seattle that summer.
Dave Kwok
“Administrative Attaché”
Dave helps with administrative, technical, and communication tasks, and helps plan and execute court advocacy campaigns targeted at Seattle Parks and Recreation and other city agencies.

Nicole Bideganeta
Court Ambassador · “HB”
A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst working as an Educator at Kindering, Nicole leads GLP's band of court ambassadors. Her competitive play now takes her to venues around the area and the nation, but we still like to think her pickleball heart resides at Green Lake.
Matt Repplier
Court Ambassador
Matt, a software developer and photographer, has been playing at Green Lake East almost every day since the spring of 2022. He comes for the rotating cast of characters and loves the sense of community that emerges from this diverse group. Find him at the courts in the afternoons, where he usually plays past dark.
Tri Hua
Court Ambassador
Life for Tri, before pickleball, is a little hazy. He vaguely remembers having a wife, an 18-month-old son, and a passion for outdoor activities — hiking, biking, volleyball, and cooking.
